Now that my kids have no school and are at home, they wanted some thing sweet. So I was thinking something healthy as well delicious. That is when I wanted to make ragi ladoo. I came across my friend Preethi’s blog.
I found her ragi ladoo very interesting, she had used almond milk powder. I
skipped that part and added cardamom
powder. The ladoos came out fabulous, my kids loved it. Thanks a lot Preethi. So I thought I will
share it with you all.
Here’s
how to make it with step by step photos…
Ragi/Kelvaragu flour

Grated coconut
|
½ cup
|
Jaggery
|
½ cup
|
Ghee
|

Method
In a
kadai roast the ragi flour until you get a nice aroma. Keep the stove in medium
flame, do not burn the flour. Transfer the flour to a plate and keep it aside.
In the
same kadai heat 1 tsp of ghee and roast
the grated coconut. When the coconut starts to turn golden brown, switch off
the stove, add it to ragi flour. Add cardamom powder and salt and mix
everything well.
In the
same kadai heat ¼ cup of water and mix the jaggery. When you get string
consistency, add the ragi flour mixture, 3 tsp of ghee and stir for 2 min. Now
switch off the stove.
Remove
from stove, let it cool. When it is lukewarm, make balls with wet hands.
Yummy
