Are you looking for a simple and elegant dessert? Then here it is - Grilled Pineapple. Grilling the pineapple, ties together the natural sweetness of the pineapple along with caramelized sugar of the applied glaze along with mild spiciness of the black pepper powder. This Grilled pineapple, is a perfect crowd pleasing exotic dessert. I have already posted Grilled Eggplant salad and Grilled Chicken –Indian style, to continue the theme I have come up with Grilled pineapple. Do try it out friends and post your feedback.

Here’s how to make Grilled Pineapple with step by step photos…

Ingredients

Pineapple
2 cans or 1 whole
Honey
3 tbsp
Lemon juice
1 tbsp
Black pepper powder
¾ tsp
Melted butter
2 tbsp
Red chilli powder [optional]
For sprinkling and serving
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Grilling time: 10-15 minutes
Serves: 6

Method

I used the tinned pineapple, if you are using whole pineapple then trim, core and peel the pineapple. Cut the leaf portion and throw it away in the thrash. Cut the pineapple to round circles or to wedges.

In a bowl mix, honey, lemon juice, melted butter and black pepper powder to make the glaze.

Now brush the mixture to the slices on both the sides. Add the remaining marinate to the pineapple slices and refrigerate for about 30 minutes or overnight for lovely flavor.

Heat the grill and grill the slices for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until the grill mark appears on the pineapple.

Transfer the pineapple to the serving plate, sprinkle a big generous pinch of red chilli powder over the pineapple and serve them hot.

Delicious and luscious Grilled pineapple is ready to be enjoyed. Serve this grilled pineapple with a rich and creamy vanilla ice cream.
