Here’s how to make Besan Ladoo with step by step photos…

Ingredients

Besan Flour/Gram Flour
2 cups
Ghee
½ to 2/3 cup [add more if needed]
Powdered Sugar
1 cup
Cardamoms/Elachi
6 powdered
Golden Raisins
1 ½ to 2 tbsp
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes

Method

Melt the ghee and keep it aside. Powder the sugar in mixer and keep it aside.

Dry roast the besan flour/kadalai maavu in a kadai on slow flame for about 10-12 minutes.

Keep stirring continuously, so that the besan flour is roasted evenly and be careful not to burn it.

Add the melted ghee and continue to roast the besan flour for 5-6 minutes.

The besan flour will emit nutty fragrance and the color changes to dark golden colour. At this point switch off the stove.

After 2-3 minutes, add powdered sugar, powdered elachi/cardamom and mix really well.

If the flour is dry add more ghee little by little and mix really well.

Add the golden raisins mix everything well.

Take small portions and roll to balls.

Yes, delicious and tempting Besan Ladoo is ready for neivadhyam or for any special occasion.
