Bread Pudding Recipe - Easy Pudding Recipe with Bread Pudding Sauce

Bread pudding is an easy and a yummy dessert, kids love it when given to them after school. This pudding can be made with just few ingredients available at home. Here's how to make Bread Pudding with step by step photos...

Ingredients

Bread

6 Slices

Vanilla Essence

1 tsp

Nutmeg

2 or 3 pinches

Cinnamon Powder

1 tsp

Milk

2 cups

White Sugar

½ cup

Egg

3

Butter

¼ cup

Raisins

2 tbsp

Method

Keep all the ingredients ready.

In a saucepan heat the milk real good, switch off the stove add the butter and keep stirring until its melted. Cool to lukewarm.

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs real good with a whisker. Now add sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract and beat really well.  Then add the milk slowly and mix until well combined.

Place the bread pieces in a greased bowl. Now sprinkle the raisins. Pour the milk mixture on top of the bread.

Arrange another layer of bread, sprinkle the raisins and pour the milk. The bread should be soaked fully in the milk.

Preheat the oven for 10 min. Bake it at 180 degree C for 45 to 50 min or until set. Serve warm.

It can be served with bread pudding sauce, or the kids love it just like that. Any way I have posted the bread pudding sauce here. 

Bread Pudding Sauce

Ingredients

Whole Milk

1 cup

Butter

2 tbsp

Sugar

¼ cup

Vanilla Essence

1 tsp

Corn Flour or APF-All Purpose Flour

1 tbsp

Salt

One small pinch

Method

Mix all ingredients together in a pan and bring it to a boil for 4-5 minutes stirring continuously.

Keep it aside to set for about 5-6 min.

Now serve it warm with the Bread Pudding.
