Green Peas Soup

Hi everybody, I wanted to make something light and colorful. That is when I thought of making green peas soup.  I have made this soup long time back, after I saw it in Food Network. But I have made some changes to the original recipe, added a few ingredients  to get Indian flavor to it. I think it's one easy way to make the kids eat peas. So friends try out this simple and healthy soup and you will surely love it.

Here's how to make Green Peas Soup with step by step photos....

Cumin Seeds
½ tsp
Ginger & Garlic paste

1 tsp
Vegetable stock
1 cup
Mint
5 leaves for garnishing

Method

In a deep pan heat oil, add bay leaves and cumin seeds and sauté for 20 sec. Now add the onions, green chillies and sauté until golden brown.

Now add the ginger and garlic paste and saute until raw smell vanishes. Then add green peas, salt and sauté for 5 min’s, then add the vegetable stock cook and cover for 10 -15 min’s.

Now cool the peas and blend it into smooth paste. Sprinkle required amount of black pepper powder according to your taste.
