Pineapple rasam is a sweet and spicy rasam. It has wonderful
flavor and so delicious you will never forget the taste of it. I learnt this
rasam from my aunt long time back. My kids love them, so I do make it quite
often in summer. Check out my other Rasam Varieties here...

Method
Grind the ingredients mentioned for rasam powder and keep it
aside. Next grind half (approximately 1 cup) the pineapple along with ginger
and keep it aside.
Cook the thoordhal, to it add the chopped tomatoes, ground
pineapple, salt, turmeric powder, crushed garlic, 2 cups of water and keep it
aside.
In a kadai heat the oil, add the ingredients mentioned for
seasoning one by one. [Always allow the mustards to splutter]. Now add the
thoor dhal mixture and let it cook for 10 min’s.
Now add the rest of chopped pineapples along with the juice
and let it boil. Now add the rasam powder and chopped coriander leaves. Keep it
in the stove of 3 min’s.
After the rasam cools down add the lemon juice.
Yes, your yummy pineapple rasam is ready to be served.
