Simple Chicken Masala is very easy and quick to make. It doesn't involve roasting or grinding. When you are out of time and need to make something fast and yummy with in no time, then try this quick and simple chicken masala. Here's how to make Chicken Masala with step by step photos


Ingredients
Chicken
500 gm
Onion
1 big(finely chopped)
Tomato
3 finely chopped
Green Chillies
3 finely chopped
Ginger
2 tsp finely chopped
Garlic
4 cloves finely chopped
Cinnamon Sticks
2
Cloves
2
Bay Leaves
1
Fennel Seeds
½ tsp
Chilli Powder
2 tbsp
Coriander Powder
4 tsp
Turmeric Powder
¼ tsp
Oil
2 tsp
Coriander leaves
2 Tbsp finely chopped
Salt
as needed

Method
Cut, wash and clean the chicken and keep it aside.

In a kadai heat the oil, add cinnamon sticks, cloves,  fennel seeds and sauté for a min. Then add onions, chillies and sauté until it turns golden brown. Now add ginger, garlic and tomatoes. Sauté until the tomatoes are mushy.


Now add the chicken pieces and sauté until the chicken color changes from pink to white. Then add chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt and mix really well.
Add ¼ cup of water to it, close it and cook for 15-20 mins.

Finally garnish with coriander leaves and serve it with either white rice, chapati, idli or dosa.
