South Indian Chicken Soup/Chicken Soup Recipe/How to make Chicken Soup with step by step photos

South Indian Style Chicken soup is a very healthy and nutritious soup. It is best taken when you are down with cold and cough. This soup has to be made  mostly with chicken bones rather than meat. The marrow in the bones helps in fighting the cold and cough. The pepper helps is getting rid of phlegm and clears the sinus. Here's how to make Chicken Soup with step by step photos...


 Ingredients
Chicken
500 gms
Onion
1 chopped
Tomato
1 chopped
Green Chillies
3
Cinnamon
1 stick
Cloves
2
Fennel Seeds
¼ tsp
Coriander Powder
2 tsp
½ tsp
Black Pepper Powder
1/2 tsp
Ginger Garlic Paste
3 tsp
Salt
as needed
Oil
¼ tsp
Cilantro
2 Tbsp finely chopped

Method
Clean, cut and wash the chicken pieces, use more of bones and less of meat. Keep it aside.

In a pan add oil heat it, add fennel seeds, cinnamon, cloves when you smell a nice aroma add the onions, green chillies, tomatoes and sauté them real good. Now grind it into a paste.


In a deep pan heat 4 cups of water add the chicken pieces, along with coriander powder, cumin powder, ginger & garlic paste, black pepper powder and salt. Let it boil for 5 mins.
Now add the ground paste, close it cook for 20- 25 min.


Finally garnish with cilantro and required amount of pepper.


Yummy and healthy South Indian Style Chicken Soup is ready to be served.
