Evening Buns

Evening Buns are very yummy, crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. It is great for breakfast, tea or lunch.

Ingredients

All purpose flour
4 ½ cup
Butter
1 tbsp melted
Milk
1 cup
Sugar
1 tsp
Salt
1 tsp
Yeast
1  tsp
Egg
1 beaten(Optional)
Sesame seeds
1 tbsp
Tea Towel
1
Egg (optional)
1 beaten with 2 tbsp of water for brushing.



Method

First step is to make the dough. In a deep bowl add the flour, salt, sugar, yeast, butter and mix it well. Now add the milk and start making the dough with hand. Kneed real good until the dough is soft.


Place the dough in a bowl, cover it with a towel and leave it to rise for about an hour.
In a flat surface dust some flour and place the dough on top. Knead little to get the air out of the dough.

Cut in to 10 buns as shown in the photo. Take each bun make knots as shown in the photo.
Arrange them in the baking tray, cover it with the towel and leave it for 20 mins.

After 20 mins the buns will double in size, brush the egg mix on all the buns and sprinkle sesame seeds over each of them.


Preheat the oven to 190ºC and bake the buns for 15 mins.


When golden brown remove the buns from the oven and serve them hot with butter. 

Note:You can totally skip the eggs, before baking you can brush with butter.
