Here’s
how to make it with step by step photos…
Rava/Semolina
|
1 cup
|
Rice Flour
|
1 cup
|
Maida/All purpose flour
|
½ cup
|
Cumin seeds
|
1 tsp
|
Black pepper crushed
|
2 tsp
|
Green chillies
|
2 finely chopped
|
Ginger
|
One small piece finely chopped
|
Cilantro
|
2 tsp finely chopped
|
Salt
|
As needed
|
Asafoetida
|
One pinch
|
Onion
|
1 finely chopped
|
Oil
|
For making dosas
|
Preparation Time: 10 minutes

Method
In a
big bowl mix all the above ingredients except onions and oil, without adding
water.
Now
generous amount of water and mix well. It should be watery.
Heat
tawa pour one ladle of batter, sprinkle onions on top of it. Add oil along the
edges of dosa and cook evenly on both sides.
Note:
Make
sure the tawa is really hot when you pour the batter and cook dosas in medium
flame.
If the
batter becomes thick add more water and adjust the salt accordingly.
Yummy
rava dosa is ready to be enjoyed with spicy chutney or Sambar

ReplyDeleteI need this recipe. My mum's recipe is the typical way, grinding of the flour and than processing over night. Yours is simplified,can be prepared in a jiffy and without much sweat. Yum all the way. Good food for breakfast or light dinner meal.
