Here’s
how to make it with photos…
Ingredients
Besan flour/Kadalai maavu
¾ cup
Rice flour/Arisi maavu
¼ cup
Potato
2
Red chilli powder
1 tsp
Baking soda
¼ tsp
Orange food color
A pinch (optional)
Salt
As needed
Oil
To fry bajji’s
Method
Wash
the potatoes pat them dry and peel off the skin. Now slice them using the
slicer and keep it aside. The slices should not be thick otherwise the potatoes
will not get cooked.
In a
bowl add besan flour, rice flour, red chilli powder, baking soda, orange food
color, salt and mix them really well.
Now add water slowly and mix everything well to make a paste without any
lumps. Add water little by little to make batter not too thick or too watery.
In a
kadai heat oil, dip each potato slices in the batter so that the batter coats
well on both the sides. Carefully drop the potato slices to the oil, cook
evenly on both sides till golden brown.
Yummy
and hot bajji is ready, serve it with chutney or it is good all by itself.
