Method
Heat a kadai, add one tsp of ghee and roast the rava in medium flame until it changes color and you get nice aroma. Transfer it to a plate.

In the same kadai heat rest of the oil, splutter the mustard seeds. Now add cumin seeds, urad dhal, bengal gram dhal, curry leaves and roast well.

Now add the onions, green chillies and ginger and sauté until transparent without changing its color. Add little salt to the onions, to speed up the process of cooking the onions.

Add water and salt, bring it to  rolling boil.

Reduce the flame and add the roasted rava, stirring it simultaneously. Cook in medium flame.

Slowly the water gets absorbed and cook the upma for about 5-6 min.

Finally add the chopped cilantro and mix thoroughly and then switch off the stove.

Yummy rava upma is ready to be enjoyed. Can be served with chutney or pickle or even just sugar.
