Pizza Sauce Recipe/Pasta Sauce Recipe/How to make Pasta Sauce at home with step by step photos

I know probably I am the last one to come up with pizza in the Home bakers challenge, but I believe "better late than never". My pizza is getting ready, meanwhile decided to post the pizza sauce. This is a very basic Pizza/Pasta sauce, I made this as a part of Home Baker's Challenge initiated by Mrs.Priya Suresh and this month host being Mrs.Divya Prakash. The original recipe did not call for all ingredients given below, I added a little more to give it little more flavor and taste.

Here's the Pizza/Pasta Sauce with step by step photos...

Tomatoes
3 (blanched, peeled and pureed)
Onion
1 medium size finely chopped
Garlic
4 cloves (very finely chopped)
Capsicum

1 tsp
Red chilli flakes
½  tsp adjust to taste
Olive oil
3 tbsp
Salt
As needed
Mixed Italian herbs
2 tsp
Tomato Puree
2 tsp
Preparation Time: 10 minutes                              Recipe Category: Sauce/Dips

Method

To Make Pizza Sauce

In a deep dish boil the water real good, at that time drop the tomatoes in the water and leave it for 2 min. Remove the tomatoes from the water and peel the skin.

This above process is called as blanching.

Next blend the peeled tomatoes in the blender in to fine paste and keep it aside.

Heat oil in a saucepan add onion and garlic and sauté until translucent. Now add the capsicum and sauté for about 2-3 min.

Add tomato paste and rest of other ingredients, allow it to boil and cook until it reaches thick sauce consistency.

Delicious Pizza Sauce is ready to be used over the base.

Yummy pizza/pasta sauce is ready can be cooled and stored in a bottle in a refrigerator as well.

I have used red chilli flakes, some of my friends have used red chilli powder also, which is totally fine.
You need not add capsicum, I have added it for some flavour.
