Baby Corn & Mangetout Stir Fry Recipe /Snow Peas Stir Fry Recipe/Baby Corn & Mangetout Stir Fry with step by step photos

Stir fry is a very popular cooking method originated in China. It is a very convenient, easy and quick way to cook food. This is a very simply and healthy baby corn & mangetout stir fry. Mangetout peas is similar to the snow peas and snap peas which cooks really fast but still crunchy and tasty. Though I have cooked snow peas a lot, after having come to UK, I came across mangetout peas which looks and taste same as snow peas. When I searched about mangetout peas came to know that it is a French word meaning “eat the lot” a phrase for the sort of peas that is eaten pod and all. I thought of making just baby corn stir fry, but since I had the mangetout peas I added them as well and it tastes great. If you don’t get mangetout peas you can replace them with snow peas or snap peas or do the same recipe with just baby corns.

Here’s how to make Baby corn & Mangetout/Snow Peas stir fry with step by step photos…

Method

Wash the baby corns and Mangetout/Snow peas in cold water and keep it aside.
Boil water in a sauce pan and cook the baby corn with salt for about 2-3 min. Drain the water and set it aside.

In a bowl mix red chilli sauce, soy sauce, tomato ketch up, corn flour with 2 tbsp of water and keep it aside.

Heat oil in a kadai, add green chillies, ginger & garlic paste and saute until raw smell vanishes. Now add the mangetout/snow peas, salt and saute for about 5 min, it will start to turn color.

Add the baby corn to the kadai and give a good stir. Now add the red chilli sauce mixture to the kadai and stir it around for another 2 -3 min until all the sauce is coated well on all the vegetables.

Super delicious quick Baby corn & Mangetout peas stir fry is ready to be enjoyed.

Note:
If you do not have snow peas, you can still do the stir fry with the same procedure only with baby corns. They will also taste delectable.

Serve it hot with delicious vegetable or egg fried rice.
