Egg Omelette [Indian Style]/Masala Omelette

I make eggs every day in my house, it could be just regular fried eggs, boiled or scrambled ones, I think it is the same with all of you. But these omelettes are my life saver. When I am really tired of cooking and very lazy, I just make these omelettes and serve it with simple rasam  and white rice. I also make these omelettes and serve them with bread and some tomatoes for breakfast. Anyone can make this  filling, simple and quick egg omelette without any hassles.

Here’s how to make Egg Omelette with step by step photos…

Ingredients

Eggs
4
Onion
1 big
Green chillies
1
Capsicum/Green bell pepper
½
Cilantro/Coriander leaves
3 tbsp
Ginger
1 inch piece
Red chilli powder
¼ tsp
Turmeric powder
½ tsp
Black pepper powder
¼ tsp
Garam masala powder
¼ tsp
Salt
As needed
Oil
As needed
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Serving Size: 6 small ones or 3 large ones

Method

Wash all the vegetables; chop the onions, green chillies, ginger and cilantro to fine pieces. Deseed the green bell pepper and then chop them finely.

In a bowl break open the eggs and beat them really well.

Now add the red chilli powder, turmeric powder, black pepper powder, garam masala powder, salt and beat really well.

Add all the chopped vegetables to the egg and mix it in.

Heat the tawa or pan, pour about 1 to 1 ½ ladle full of egg mixture and spread it like dosa.
Add few drops of oil along the edges and let it cook.

Slowly flip it over and cook on the other side as well.

Delicious Egg Omelette is ready to be enjoyed.

Serve it along with bread for breakfast or just with sambar or rasam sadam or even as healthy evening snack for kids.

Suggestions:
Addition of capsicum is optional; you can skip it if you don’t have them and continue the same procedure.
