How to Make Perfect Hard Boiled Eggs?

Making hard boiled eggs is a very basic and essential part of cooking for everyone. My husband is crazy about eggs; the only thing he says is you need not cook anything. Just give me some eggs, rice and yogurt. He can survive with it for days. Having said that I am moving on to share with you all how to make these hard boiled eggs. I know you all should be experts in making hard boiled eggs but still I am sharing it for those who are new to cooking.

Here’s how to make Hard Boiled Eggs with step by step photos…

Check if the eggs are good and choose the fresh eggs and use only those for cooking.

Place the eggs in a bowl of salt water, if the eggs sink to the bottom of the bowl the eggs are fresh. If the eggs float on the top, get rid of it.

Place the eggs in a single layer in a saucepan, cover it with cold water. The eggs should be completely immersed in the water.

Add a pinch of salt to the water. The salt will make the eggs easier peel because the proteins coagulate and firm up. This makes the white easier to separate from the shell.

Bring the water to rolling boil in high heat. Immediately close with the lid and switch off the stove.

Leave the eggs in hot water for about 15 minutes with the lid closed.

Now open the lid and fill the sauce pan with cold water, this prevents it from further cooking. Leave it for another 2 to 3 minutes in cold water.

Peel the egg shell, perfect hard boiled eggs are ready to be enjoyed.
