As we
all know that Pasta is a staple food of traditional Italian cuisine. Pasta is made from
durum wheat flour mixed with water and formed into sheets or various shapes,
then cooked and served in different forms and varieties. As far as the pasta
bake is concerned the amount of pasta sauce added is more and slight twist is
given by adding a layer of cheese on top and baked just before serving. Another
twist that can be given to the pasta bake is you can add any leftover steamed
or grilled vegetables, sauces etc.

Method
Cook
the Fusilli pasta according to the package instructions, drain and keep it
aside.
Preheat
the oven to 180°C/350°F.
While
cooking the past, heat about 1 tbsp of oil in a kadai. Add the crushed garlic,
onions and saute for about 4-5 minutes or until the onions starts turning
golden brown.
Add the
tomatoes, dried herbs and saute until they turn mushy.
Now add
the tomato sauce, black pepper, salt and vegetable stock. I used
the store bought vegetable stock.
Bring
to boil, reduce the heat, cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Stir in between to
avoid any burning.
Now add
the cooked pasta to the tomato sauce and mix really well.
Transfer
the pasta to an oven safe dish. Arrange the sliced mozzarella on top of the
pasta.
Bake
the pasta in the oven for 10 minutes or until the cheese has melted.
Serve
the Pasta Bake with any bread and fresh salad.
