how to make Onion Chicken Fry with step by step photos…
Chicken

Onion
|
2 big finely chopped

Garlic
|
6 cloves finely chopped

Ginger
|
2 inch piece finely chopped
|
Black pepper powder
|
½ tsp
|
Lemon juice
|
1-2 tsp
|
Cinnamon stick
|

Cloves

Fennel seeds
|
½ tsp
|
Bay leaves
|
1

Oil
|
1 tbsp
|
Curry leaves
|
12-15
|
For
Marinating
Yogurt
|
½ cup
|
Red chilli powder
|
1 ½ tsp
|
Coriander powder
|
2 tsp
|
Turmeric powder
|
¼ tsp
|
½ tsp
|
|
½ tsp
|
|
Salt
|
As needed

Preparation
time: 10 minutes
Cooking
time: 25 minutes

Method
Wash
and cut the chicken to medium size. Add all the ingredients mentioned under
marination, mix thoroughly and let it sit for about 1 hour.
Heat
oil in a kadai, add cinnamon sticks, cloves, fennel seeds, bay leaves and fry
until nice aroma arises.
Add the
onions, garlic, ginger, curry leaves[6], salt and saute until light golden
brown.
Now add
the marinated chicken and mix really well until the color changes. Sprinkle
very little water, cover and cook the cook the chicken until done.
Add the
black pepper powder and mix well. Finally add the lemon juice, mix and switch
off the stove.
Fry the
rest of the curry leaves and add it to the chicken and garnish them.
Yummy
Onion Chicken Fry is ready to be enjoyed.
