Today I
am sharing with you a very healthy, easy quick and delicious potato raita. An
absolute winner among the kids, I sometimes make them as evening snacks for my
girls. Without much introduction I am moving on to the recipe, do check out my
other raita recipes here.
Here’s
how to make Potato Raita with step by step photos…
Ingredients
Potatoes [boiled]

Yogurt/Curd/Thayir
|
2 cups
|
Cumin powder
|
½ tsp
|
Black pepper powder
|
¼ tsp
|
Garam masala powder
|
¼ tsp
|
Salt
|
As needed
|
For
Tempering
Oil
|
1 tsp
|
Mustard seeds
|
¼ tsp
|
Cumin seeds
|
¼ tsp
|
Green chillies
|
1 or 2 finely chopped
|
Asafoetida
|
One pinch
|
Curry leaves
|
5-6
|
Preparation
time: 5 minutes
Cooking
time: 10-12 minutes
Serves:
2-4
Method
Wash,
boil, peel and cube the potatoes.
Add
yogurt, cumin powder, black pepper powder, garam masala powder, salt to the
cubed potatoes and mix well.
Heat
oil in a pan, splutter mustard seeds, add cumin seeds, green chillies,
asafoetida, curry leaves fry for about a minute and switch off the stove.
Add the
tempering to the potatoes and mix well.
Super
healthy, delicious and cooking potato raita is ready to be enjoyed. Serve it
rotis, chapathis or just as an evening snack for your kids.
