Chicken Pakora Recipe/Chicken Pakoda Recipe/Kozhi Pakoda/How to make Chicken Pakora Recipe with step by step photos & Video in both English & Tamil

One such easy, quick and tempting starter is Chicken pakora found in most of the restaurant menus. Here’s how to make Chicken Pakora with step by step photos….

Ingredients

Chicken [boneless]

500 gm

Onion

1 big finely chopped

Ginger

2 inch piece finely chopped

Garlic

4 cloves finely chopped

Green chillies

4 finely chopped

Lemon juice

From ½ lemon

Coriander leaves/cilantro

3-4 tbsp finely chopped

Cumin seeds/Jeeragam

½ tsp

Fennel seeds/Perunjeeragam

½ tsp

Red chilli powder

1 tsp

Coriander powder

1 tsp

Turmeric powder

1/2 tsp

Garam masala powder

1/2 tsp

Cumin powder/Jeeragam Powder

1/2 tsp

Corn flour

¼ cup

Besan flour/kadalai maavu

½ cup

Curry Leaves/Karuvepillai

12-15 chopped

Oil

 For Frying

Salt

As needed

Preparation time: 10 minutes                  
Cooking time: 20 minutes

Method
Clean, wash and cut the chicken to bite size pieces.

Add the onions, ginger, garlic, green chillies, cumin seeds, fennel seeds, red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder,Garam masala powderCumin powder/Jeeragam Powder, coriander leaves, salt, lemon juice to the chicken and mix thoroughly. Do not add any water.

                               

                               
                                 

Cover and let the chicken rest for about 30 minutes.

Now add the corn flour, besan flour to the chicken and mix really well.
                                  

Heat oil in the kadai in medium flame, fry the chicken pieces until well-cooked equally on all the sides.
                                
                                 
                                  

Drain the cooked chicken to a paper towel. Similarly, fry all the chicken pieces in small batches.

Scrumptious and delicious chicken pakora is ready to be enjoyed.
