Method
Cut and
wash the fish thoroughly, two to three times. Add ¼ tsp of turmeric powder,
lemon juice and wash the fish. Drain the water and keep it aside. I have used
king fish with bones, you can make this dish with boneless fish.
Heat
oil in a kadai, add the whole black pepper corns.
When
the black pepper corns start to float and fried, add the curry leaves.
Now add
the finely chopped garlic and sauté well.
Add the
fish to the oil and sprinkle salt and flip the fish once or twice.
Now add
2 tsp of black pepper powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder and mix gently so
that the fish is coated well.
Add the
finely chopped cilantro over the fish. Cover and cook the fish for about 3-4 minutes in medium flame.
Open
the lid and add 1 tsp of black pepper powder and mix thoroughly. Now switch off
the stove.
Finally
drizzle drops of lemon juice over the fish and serve it hot. It is perfect and
wonderful accompaniment with sambar sadam or rasam sadam.
