Pasta with Fresh Tomato Sauce/Tomato Pasta/Pasta in Red Sauce/Home Made Pasta Sauce Recipe

Today, I am going to share very basic Pasta with Fresh Tomato Sauce. The tomato sauce is prepared with fresh tomatoes, garlic and mixed herbs. Here’s how to make Pasta with Fresh Tomato Sauce with step by step photos…
Ingredients
To make Tomato Pasta Sauce/Red Pasta Sauce
Tomatoes
8
Onion
1 big finely chopped
Garlic cloves
6-8 finely chopped
Black Pepper Powder
1 tsp adjust to taste
Red Chilli Flakes
½ tsp to 1 tsp adjust to taste
Olive Oil/Sunflower Oil
2 tbsp
Mixed Italian Herbs
2 tsp
Tomato Puree
1 tbsp
Salt
As needed

For Pasta
Pasta [any pasta of your choice]
200 gms
Salt
As needed
Water
To cook pasta
Grated Parmesan Cheese[optional]
¼ cup
Olive Oil
2 tsp

Method

To Make Pasta Sauce
Heat about 2 tbsp of oil in a sauce pan. Add the finely chopped onions and cook on medium heat until it turns soft.


Now add the finely chopped garlic and cook for about another minute. Be careful not to burn the onions and garlic.

Add chopped tomatoes, tomato puree, mixed Italian herbs, salt and mix thoroughly.


Let it simmer for 15 -20 minutes or until the sauce is thick and rich. Stir the sauce frequently to avoid it from getting burnt. If needed sprinkle little water to cook the sauce.


Now add black pepper powder, red chilli flakes and mix everything really well.


Finally add some fresh cilantro/basil/parsley and switch off the stove.

Yes, flavorful and delicious Tomato Sauce/Red Sauce for Pasta is ready.

To Cook Pasta

When the sauce is simmering, boil water in a deep sauce pan. Cook the pasta according to package instructions.


When the pasta is cooked, drain the water completely. Toss the pasta with 2 tsp of olive oil.


To Make Tomato Pasta/Pasta with Tomato Sauce

Add the tomato sauce prepared to the pasta and stir it really well. Add only required amount of pasta sauce.


At this point add more black pepper powder and red chili flakes if needed and mix thoroughly.

Now the pasta is ready to be served, garnish with freshly grated cheese and serve it hot.


I have not added cheese to the pasta, it is totally optional. If added to the pasta, it makes it more tasty and delicious.
