Sweet
Kuzhipaniyaram is a very easy to make evening snack and is a very popular South
Indian dish. This delectable dish is made with less number of ingredients and

how to make Sweet Kuzhipaniyaram with step by step photos…
Ingredients
Idli Batter
|
1 ½ cup
|
Jaggery Powdered/Vellam
|
¼ cup
|
Elachi/Cardamom Powder
|
¼ tsp or 2 elachi crushed
|
Koppara/Grated Coconut
|
2 tbsp
|
Oil/Ghee
|
To make paniyaram
|
I have
used Koppara, so finely chopped it and added it to batter.
Preparation
Time: 10 minutes
Cooking
Time: 20-25 minutes
Method
Take
idli batter in a large bowl.
Add
powdered jiggery, cardamom powder, chopped koppara to the batter. If you are
using grated coconut, add about 2 tbsp of the same.
Now mix
everything really well.
Heat
kuzhipaniyaram pan, add oil/ghee to the slots in the paniyaram pan.
Pour
the batter to each of the holes in the paniyaram pan.
Then cover and cook for a while.
Open
the lid and you will be able to see small holes on the top. Now flip the paniyarams
and cook on the other side. Cook evenly on both the sides and remove from the
pan.
Repeat
the same process until all the batter is done.

Suggestions:
I have
added the powdered jaggery directly to the batter, because they don’t have any
impurities. If you feel the jaggery has impurities , then just melt the jaggery
with 2 tbsp of water and filter it. Once it cools down, then add it to the idli
batter, mix well and make kuzhipaniyarams.
