Bread Omelette Recipe/Bread Omelette Sandwich /Indian Street Style Egg Omelette Recipe

Bread Omelette is a very easy, quick and filling breakfast that can made in no time with very little ingredients. To make egg omelette you will need bread and egg mixture. The egg mixture can be made in different ways either by adding just the spices or by adding onions, tomatoes, green chillies etc depending upon the time and availability of ingredients in your pantry. One Sunday morning I was really tired and hesitant to make breakfast, that is when my husband came to the rescue and made this Bread Omelette Sandwich, so I thought I will click some photos and share it with you all. He has shown you how to make Bread Omelette sanwich, like how the street vendors do it, it’s a “made to order” sandwich. Do try out this bread omelette recipe and post your comments. Meanwhile do check out other egg recipes in the link and enjoy.

 Method

To prepare the bread omelette, he set up the bar and made sandwiches. It’s a “Made to Order” sandwich.

Slightly toast the breads very lightly and keep it aside.

Keep chopped onions, green chillies, coriander leaves in one plate.

Keep red chilli powder, turmeric powder, black pepper powder and salt in another plate.

Take a bowl or tumbler and break open 2 eggs [for one order of sandwich].

Add one big pinch of red chilli powder, small pinch of turmeric powder, small pinch of black pepper powder and salt. [You can adjust the spice level according to your taste and needs]

Now add about 2 tsp of chopped onions, 1 tsp of green chillies and little coriander leaves.

Now beat it thoroughly with a spoon until well combined.

Heat a wide pan on medium flame, pour the egg mixture to the pan and spread it. Add 1 tsp of oil all around the omelette.

When it is half done, keep 1 bread slice on the omelette. Let it cook for couple of 30-40 secs.

Now cover the sides of the bread with omelette as shown in the photo and cook on both sides.

If you are using two breads, then flip the egg omelette along with the bread [will be tricky].

Cook for 30-40 secs. Then flip it and serve either by either closing the omelette over the eggs or just serve an open sandwich.

Similarly you can make rest of the sandwiches either with 2 breads or 1 bread depending upon the requirement of your family members.

Since my husband arranged a sandwich bar it was made to order sandwiches according to the requirement from my family members.
