be made in a jiffy. This is a very tasty and delectable thogaiyal that can be
served with steam cooked rice or as side dish for idlis, dosas rotis or as a

Ingredients
Curry Leaves/Karuveppilai

1 cup
|
Dry Red Chillies
|
6
|
Urad dal/Ullutham Paruppu
|
2 tsp
|
Mustard/Kadugu
|
1 tsp
|
Tamarind/Puli
|
Small gooseberry size ball
|
Asafoetida/Hing/Perungayam
|
One big pinch
|
Salt
|
As needed
|
Water
|
Little for grinding
|
Oil
|
2 tsp
|

Other Karuvepilai/Curry Leaves that might of your interest...
Wash
the curry leaves thoroughly and drain all the water completely.
Heat
2 tsp of oil, splutter mustard seeds, then add urad dal and saute until they
turn light golden brown color.
Now
add dry red chillies, asafoetida/hing and fry for another 20-30 seconds.
Add
the curry leaves and saute for few seconds and switch off the stove. Let it
cool completely.
Add
everything to the mixer, tamarind, little salt and grind it to a coarse paste
with little water and transfer it to a bowl.
Healthy
and delectable Karuvepilai Thogayal is ready to be enjoyed. Serve it hot with
steamed cooked white rice.
