I am going to share a very healthy, filling and super tempting Rava Uthappam
with step by step photos. Are you running out of idli/dosa batter, are you
tired of thinking what to make for breakfast, then you have landed in the right
recipe. This Rava Uthappam does not involve any grinding and can be made in a
jiffy. This is a super healthy and delicious uthappam which your kids and
family members will fall in love with immediately. Do try out this tempting

how to make Rava Uthappam with step by step photos…
Ingredients
Rava/Sooji

1 ½ cup
|
Yogurt/Curd/Thayir
|
1 cup
|
Salt
|
As needed
|
Eno Salt
|
½ tsp or ½ tsp of baking powder
|
Water
|
1 cup [more or less based on the consistency
of the batter]
|
For
Topping
Onion
|
1 finely chopped
|
Tomato
|
1 finely chopped
|
Carrot
|
½ grated
|
Coriander leaves/Cilantro
|
2 tbsp finely chopped
|
For
Tempering
Oil
|
2 tsp
|
Mustard seeds/Kadugu
|
½ tsp
|
Green Chillies
|
2 finely chopped
|
Ginger
|
½ tsp grated
|
Asafoetida/Hing/Perungayam
|
One big pinch
|
Preparation
Time: 15 minutes

Time: 20 minutes

Method
Heat 2
tsp of oil in a kadai, splutter mustard seeds, then add asafoetida/perungayam,
grated ginger, green chillies and stir for about 40-50 seconds and switch off
the stove.
Take
rava/sooji in a bowl. Add
yogurt/curd/thayir, salt to rava and mix really well.
Add 1 cup
of water mix well. Now add
the green chilli tempering to the rava mixture. Mix everything really well,
cover and keep it aside for 20 minutes.
After 20
minutes, check the consistency of the batter, if it is really thick add little
water and adjust the consistency.
Finally
add Eno salt and give a good stir.
Heat cast iron tawa/dosa kal on a stove on medium heat. Pour a ladle of batter and spread a little with ladle. It should be around 1/4 inch thick and 3-4 inches in diameter.
Sprinkle
chopped onions, tomatoes, grated carrots and cilantro over the uthappam.
Drizzle oil all over the uthappam and cook for about a minute on medium low
flame.
Then carefully flip it and cook for about a minute and make sure it cooks on both sides evenly and then transfer it to a plate.
Yummy,
delicious and healthy Rava Vegetable Uthappam is ready to be enjoyed. This
uthappam does not need any side dish, but still you can serve with any chutney of
your choice like kara chutney, tomato chutney etc. Do check out other
