Hi Priya.... Am using ur shikkakai powder.... After hair wash also am feeling like my hair s bit oily... Will it be like that only???
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for contacting me, Little oil sometimes is alright but will not happen all the time , if you are new to shikkakai powder then may be you will find it hard to wash your hair. I can give you two solutions which you can try, one - increase the amount of soapnut by another 100 gms to the amount mentioned above, you must have already ground the powder, so you can grind some more soapnut and add it. Second solution - if you have rice water or sadam vaditha kanji [excess starch which you drain when you cook rice] to the shikkaki powder and mix [instead of water] and make a paste and then wash your hair. Hope this helps pls keep visiting Priyas virundhu for more delectable recipes from my kitchen. Thanks & Regards Priya Anandakumar
DeleteCan we mix potato juice, beetroot juice in this shikkai powder, instead of water? Will it give good effect
ReplyDeleteI dont know about adding potato juice and beetroot juice, i dont recommend you to use it as well. My suggestion would be to use rice washed water, or the rice starch[ the water in which the rice is cooked]
DeleteHope this helps. Pls keep visiting Priyas Virundhu for more delightful recipes

Hi I used this shikakai but since childhood,I'm allergic to shikakai,I tried it now also I'm getting too much of sneezing, so just thought can I use besan, hibiscus powder and methi powder will tat be a good alternative for this..thanks in advance
ReplyDeleteHi,
DeleteThanks a lot for contacting me, I can totally understand your problem. If you are allergic to shikkakai it is better not to use it. yes, you can use hibiscus powder and methi powder. Do try and find out if you are allergic and then go ahead with it. The same goes with besan flour as well, do a patch test to find out if you are not allergic then you can use it
