Moong Dal/Paasi Paruppu

¼ cup

Green Chillies/Pachhai Milagi

2-3 slit and cut
|
Garlic Cloves/Poondu
|
6-8

Fenugreek Seeds/Vendhayam

1 tsp
|
Cumin Seeds/Jeeragam
|
1 tsp
|
Cilantro/Coriander Leaves/Kothamalli
|
2-3 tbsp
|
Coconut Milk/Milk
|
½ cup- ¾ cup
|
Salt
|
As needed

Water
|
4 ½ cups

Method
Measure
the required amount of Varagu Arisi and Moong Dal in a bowl. Add
water and wash it thoroughly and drain the water.
Add the
washed Varagu Arisi and Moong Dal to the cooker.
Now add
slit green chillies, garlic cloves, fenugreek seeds, cumin seeds, required salt,
cilantro/coriander leaves and water to
the pressure cooker.
Close
the pressure cooker and cook for 4 whistles and switch off the stove.
Wait
for the steam to release all by itself. Open the lid and mix the kanji well.
Add required water and thin down the kanji.
Now add
the coconut milk and mix really well.

delicious, healthy and tempting Varagu Arisi Kanji is ready to be enjoyed.
