how to make Malai Paneer with step by step photos…
Ingredients
Paneer/Cottage Cheese |
200 g |
Onion |
1 big finely chopped |
Green Chillies |
3-4 finely chopped |
Ginger & Garlic Paste |
1 tsp |
Red Chilli Powder |
½ tsp |
Coriander Powder |
1 tsp |
Turmeric Powder |
¼ tsp |
½ tsp |
|
½ tsp |
|
Fresh Cream |
½ cup or 100 ml |
Kasoori Methi/Dried Fenugreek Leaves |
1 tsp |
Coriander Leaves/Cilantro Leaves |
1 tbsp finely chopped |
Salt |
As needed |
Oil |
3 tsp |

Method
Cut the
paneer to cubes. Chop the onions, green chillies and keep everything ready.
Heat 3 tsp of oil in a pan, add onions, green chillies and sauté well until they turn translucent.
Add
ginger garlic paste and satue until the raw smell vanishes.
Add red
chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt.
Mix
everything really well.
Add 1-2
tbsp of water and saute well for about a minute.
At this
stage add the paneer cubes and mix gently until the masala is well coated.
Sauté
for about a minute or two, the oil will start to separate out.
Now add the fresh cream and give a gentle stir.
Now add Garam Masala Powder and Cumin Powder/Jeeragam Powder.
Give a gentle stir and cook for about a minute.
Finally add crushed kasurimethi leaves and finely chopped cilantro.
Malai Paneer turns creamy and thick, now switch off the stove.
Delicious, rich and creamy Malai Paneer is ready to be enjoyed. Serve it hot with rotis/chapatti or even with Coconut Milk Pulav or Peas pulav and enjoy.
