how to make Tomato Dosa with step by step photos & Video...
Ingredients
Rava/Sooji/Semolina |
1 cup |
Rice Flour/Arisi Maavu |
1 cup |
Wheat Flour/Gothumai Maavu |
1/4 cup |
Black Pepper Powder |
½ tsp |
Cumin Seeds/Jeeragam |
2 tsp |
Coriander Leaves/Cilantro |
3 tbsp finely chopped |
Salt |
As needed |
Onion |
1 finely chopped |
Oil |
To Make
Dosas |
Tomato/Thakkali |
5-6 |
Ginger |
2 “ piece chopped |
Red Chilli Powder |
1 tsp

Method
Wash
the tomatoes thoroughly and chop them, similarly peel the ginger and chop them
to pieces.
Add the
chopped the tomatoes, ginger and red chilli powder to a mixer jar.
Grind
it really well to fine paste with required water.
To a wide bowl, add rava/sooji, rice flour, wheat flour and salt. Mix everything really well.
Now add the ground tomato paste and mix well.
Add one
cup of water to the mixer wash and add it to the bowl.
Now add black pepper powder, cumin seeds, chopped coriander leaves to the batter and mix well.
Cover and keep it aside for 15- 20 minutes.
Heat
the tawa, pour a ladle of batter from the sides and make a dosa.
Drizzle
oil along the edges of the dosa and cook on high medium flame.
Flip
the dosa and cook the dosa on other side until done and remove.
