Method

Take a wide bowl to make the paratha dough. Add 2 cups of wheat flour to the bowl.

Add ¼ tsp of turmeric powder, ½ tsp of red chilli powder, ¼ tsp of Cumin Powder and ½ tsp of garam masala powder.

Also add ¼ tsp of ajwain/omam,salt, 1 tsp of ginger paste to the wheat flour.

Next add washed and chopped cilantro and chopped mint to the bowl.

Now add the curd to the wheat flour.

Mix everything really well and knead to make soft and pliable dough. Do not add water, if needed you can add 1-2 tsp of curd when making the dough.

Finally add 1 tsp of oil and knead the dough one last time.

Close and keep it aside for about 20 minutes.

After 20 minutes open the lid and knead the dough one more time thoroughly.

Divide the dough into equal parts and make small balls from the dough.

Dust wheat flour and roll the chapatis into flat round shape.

Then fold it to a semi circle as shown.

Now fold it again to make a triangle.

Dust some wheat flour or spread little oil, use the rolling pin and gently roll it to a paratha. Similarly make rest of the parathas.

Heat the tawa on medium flame and add the rolled paratha to it. Drizzle oil all around the paratha.

Cook on one side for few seconds, then flip it over and cook on the other side also by adding few drops of oil.

Cook the paratha evenly on both the sides and transfer it to a plate.

Delicious, spicy, flavourful and filling Dahi Paratha is ready to be enjoyed. Serve it hot with a small piece of butter. It taste great all by itself so can be served without any side dish.
