Preparation
Wash and
clean the prawns/eral without any mud at least 3-4 times and drain the water.
Devein
the prawns, wash one more time and keep it ready.
To
Make Green Paste
Clean
and wash the mint leaves and cilantro thoroughly with water and drain the
water.
Add the
washed mint leaves, coriander leaves, ginger garlic paste to the mixer jar.
Now add green chillies, cumin powder, garam masala powder, curry leaves to the mixer jar.
Grind
everything to fine paste with little water.
Method
Take
the washed prawns in a wide bowl.
Now add
the ground mint and cilantro paste to the washed and cleaned prawns.
Add 3
tsp of yogurt/curd to the prawns.
Now add
red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt, 1 tsp of gingelly
oil to the prawns.
Mix everything really well until all the masala is uniformly coated on the prawns.
Close
and keep it aside for about one hour.
Heat
about 1.5 tbsp of gingelly oil in a kadai or pan.
Add the
marinated prawns along with all the masala.
Stir
well and cook the prawns on medium flame, stir in between to avoid any burning
of prawns.
All the water will absorb and turn into masala consistency.
At this
stage add 2 tsp of gingelly oil and mix well.
Fry
well until all the moisture is absorbed.
Now add
½ tsp of black pepper powder, mix well and fry well for another minute and
switch off the stove.
Delicious,
super tasty and flavour ful Hariyali Prawn Fry/Green Prawn Fry is ready to be
enjoyed. Serve it hot with steam cooked white rice, Milagai Killi potta sambar
and simple tomato rasam.
