Ingredients
Oil [Gingelly Oil] |

Garlic Cloves |
10-12 cloves finely chopped |
Ginger |
1” inch piece finely chopped |
Green Chilli |
½ tsp chilli finely chopped |
Red Chilli Sauce |
2 tbsp |
Soya Sauce |
1 tbsp |
Tomato Ketchup |
3 tbsp |
Honey |
2 tbsp |
Vinegar |
1 tsp |
Black Pepper Powder |
½ tsp |
Red Chilli Flakes
[optional] |
½ tsp |
Water |
60 ml |
White Sesame Seeds |
1 tsp |
Salt |
As needed |
Oil |
For frying the chicken |
Chicken Breast |
500 g |
Ginger & Garlic Paste |
1 tsp |

Method
Wash
the chicken breast pieces thoroughly with water.
Cut
them into cubes or into thin strips.
Marinating
the Chicken:
Add the
cut chicken cubes to a bowl.
Add
ginger & garlic paste, red chilli flakes, egg, soya sauce and salt to the
chicken. Mix everything really well until thoroughly combined.
Finally
add corn flour to the chicken and mix really well. First add 3 tbsp of corn
flour to the chicken and mix and then if needed you can add another tbsp. of
corn flour and mix well.
Frying the Chicken:
Heat
oil in a kadai for frying the chicken.
When
the oil is hot enough, add the chicken pieces slowly in to the oil. Do not over
crowd the chicken when frying them.
Fry
them evenly on all sides to golden brown color.
Cook
the chicken until done and drain it out of the oil.
Similarly fry rest of the chicken pieces in batches. Keep the fried chicken aside.
Preparing Honey Garlic Chicken:
Heat 2
tbsp of oil in a pan, add the chopped garlic, ginger and green chilies.
Fry
them well for about a minute or until nice aroma arises.
Now add red chilli sauce,
soya sauce, tomato ketchup, vinegar and mix really well.
Let it come to a boil, now
add 1/2 tsp black pepper powder, 1/2 tsp of red chilli flakes [optional], 2 tbsp of honey,
little salt and mix really well.
Add 60 ml of water, mix well
and let it come to boil. The sauce will become thick.
At this stage add the fried
chicken pieces, chopped spring onions and mix well. Now switch off the stove.
Frying the sesame seeds
Heat a pan, add 1-2 tsp of
sesame seeds and fry on low heat. The sesame seeds will start to pop and will
start to change color.
At this stage, switch off
the stove.
Finally add the roasted
sesame seeds on the Honey Garlic Chicken and serve it hot.
Delicious, sweet and
tempting Honey Garlic Chicken is ready to be enjoyed. Serve it hot along with
Vegetable Fried Rice or Egg Fried Rice .
