7 Cup Burfi/Seven Cup Burfi – Easy Diwali Sweet/Sweet for Special Occasions or Neivedhyam


Hello Friends,

Today, I am going to share a very easy, extremely tasty 7 Cup Burfi which I made for this Diwali. The name 7 Cup Burfi is just an easy way to remember, that all ingredients are each one cup except sugar alone being 3 cups. But I feel 3 cups of sugar is way too sweet, so I have used only 2 ½ cups, sometimes I add only 2 cups. Though I have made this several times, I was unable to share it with you all, so this time I made sure I click some pictures and share it with you all. Badam Pisin With Milk/How to use Badam Pisin[Almond Gum]/Badam Pisin – natural body coolant/Benefits of Badam Badam Pisin with Video in Tamil & English

Badam pisin or Almond gum is an edible gum collected from badam/almond trees. Badam tree bark secretes the gum and it gets dried up, which is later collected and used for medicinal purposes. They look like little rocks which are white in colour and an excellent natural body coolant. The famous drink of Tamil Nadu - Jigarthanda, Rose milk etc are prepared by adding Nannari sarbat to the badam pisin. The badam pisin is soaked overnight in water which then becomes like jelly; this jelly can then be used along with sarbats.  Badam Pisin is a natural jelly which can be consumed by everyone to beat the heat and keep the body cool. This is badam pisin milk is an easy and simple home remedy during the hot summer days. My grandma used to give this for us and now I do it for my kids or for myself.
